Meet Dr. Kevin Dooms
A Washington native, Dr. Dooms grew up in Centralia, and completed his undergraduate studies at Western Washington University in Bellingham. He attended medical school at the University of Washington and graduated in 2004. Afterward, he completed a residency in Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, and an Allergy/Immunology fellowship at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Dooms is board-certified in both Pediatrics and Allergy/Immunology. He sees patients of all ages, from babies through adults. Dr. Dooms’ professional interests include childhood asthma, recurring hives, food allergy, and screening for common immune deficiencies (patients with frequent or unusual infections).
Dr. Dooms is active in local and national allergy specialty societies. He serves as the President of the Washington State Society of Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology (WSSAAI), and is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI), where he has served on the Adverse Reactions to Foods committee. Dr. Dooms is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
In his spare time, Dr. Dooms enjoys cooking, cycling, and travel.
In February 2018, Dr. Dooms will join Swedish and invites his patients to see him there.
