Meet Dr. Charles Jackson
Dr. Jackson grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania. He completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology at Yale University in 1967, and an MD degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine in 1971. He completed an internship and residency in pediatrics at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Jackson will be retiring in 2018.
In 1977 Dr. Jackson completed a fellowship at the University of Washington in Pediatric Immunology, focusing on primary immunodeficiency diseases. His fellowship also included training in pediatric and adult allergy. He then served on the faculty of the pediatric residency program at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he was Chief of Pediatric Immunology, and worked in laboratory research.
Dr. Jackson returned to the Pacific Northwest in1981 and began private practice in Allergy and General Pediatrics in Renton, Washington. In 1987, he joined Allergy and Asthma Associates to focus full time on the practice of adult and pediatric allergy.
Education & Affiliations
Dr. Jackson is board certified in Pediatrics and in Allergy and Clinical Immunology. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington, where he participates in the education of medical students and fellows. He is on the staff of Overlake, Evergreen, and Seattle Children’s Hospitals. He is a Fellow in both the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology and American Academy of Pediatrics. His professional interests include asthma, food allergies, sinusitis, and urticaria (hives). Dr. Jackson travels to Juneau and Ketchikan, Alaska, six times per year to see patients there.
